Hi Kaili - I manage marketing at my company and I am the only one in marketing. We are looking to expand the team, and I was wondering what positions would you recommend hiring for first?

There is a great webinar by Matt Epstein (How to Reach $10 Million ARR on a Shoestring Budget) that goes into who your first 3-5 hires should be. It's awesome. https://boastcapital.com/10m-s....hoestring-budget-mat

He goes into building your team at 20 minutes in, but the whole thing is great.

Hi Kaili - I am in B2B marketing was wondering if you had any thoughts on KPIs to measure? We look at the obvious ones, but was wondering about others that you found meaningful?

Hi Michael! Great question, I can get pretty granular on lead sources/CPL/CPA/etc but my favorite KPI that I track on a daily basis is the lifecycle stage and the correlating dates. I keep track of what stage the lead is in (Subscriber, Lead, Marketing Qualified Lead, Sales Qualified Lead, Opportunity, Customer, Evangelist) and also track what dates they were marked. I've been able to pull reports on how many leads became an Opportunity this month even if their create date was a year ago. I also keep track of the percentage of leads that turn into qualified leads. This makes it easier to see if I'm pulling in the right people with my campaigns and how they're moving through the funnel.
